Postdoc futures: empowering women in cancer research

March 7, 2023 @ 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Cancer Research UK (CRUK) is celebrating International Women’s Day 2023 by bringing together women from across our postdoctoral researcher community to connect, build collaborations and discuss together potential solutions to improve progression for women in cancer research.

If you’re a postdoctoral researcher funded by CRUK or based at a CRUK core-funded Institute and a woman, you’re invited to join us for this unique event to network and connect with other postdoctoral researchers from across our CRUK network in an open and informal setting.

You’ll hear inspiring talks and practical tips from women who have had successful careers both in, and outside of, academia. Together we’ll discuss actionable solutions and ideas for how to improve progression for women in cancer research. This is both so you feel empowered to take the next step in your career whatever your chosen career path and to help CRUK identify priority actions we can take as a research funder to help address structural barriers to progression.

Spaces are limited, and are reserved for CRUK funded postdocs only OR Postdocs working in a CRUK core – funded Institute. This event is free of charge.
