This spotlight session featuring Professor Larry Kessler (Professor of Health Systems and Population Health, University of Washington), who is working with CRUK as part of his Fulbright Scholarship.

Building on one of the recommendations in the Early Detection and Diagnosis Roadmap Professor Kessler will be sharing information about his project to develop a Target Product Profile (TPP) relevant to gynaecological cancer. Target product profiles (TPP) outline the desired ‘profile’ or characteristics of a target product that is aimed at a particular disease or diseases, Professor Larry’s TPP describes the requirements for a diagnostic test for women, trans-men, and non-binary people with gynaecological organs, presenting to primary care.The session will be chaired by Dr Bethany Shinkins (Associate Professor of Health Economics at the University of Leeds), who has extensive experience in the development of TPPs and the evaluation of health technologies. This spotlight session provides an opportunity for the audience to learn more about TPPs and hear the latest on the gynaecological example, whilst also contributing to its development through sharing of insights.
