UKRI Trusted and Connected Data and Analytics Research Environments Launch 28 July 2021 (14:00-15:00)

July 28, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Data has been fundamental to the UK’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and as the UK moves out of the critical phase into recovery, there is a need to ensure that investments being made in data research infrastructures are joined-up, impactful and support research at scale.

UK Research and Innovation has established a programme to deliver a UK-wide federated, digital infrastructure for data research that has the confidence, and meets the needs, of data controllers, data users, and the public.

It will establish the next generation of Trusted Research Environments (TREs) that will enable fast and efficient sharing, linkage and advanced analysis of data, where it is legal and ethical to do so.

About this event

To launch the first phase – the Design and Dialogue Phase – Health Data Research UK and Administrative Data Research UK invite you to join this meeting to hear more about the programme, ask questions and find out how to get involved.

There will also be an opportunity to hear initial information about the planned sprint projects, which aim to uncover and test early thinking, develop potential use cases and technical feasibility of a UK-wide data research infrastructure.

The event is aimed at colleagues across the UK research community, research institutes, funders and members of the public.

Chaired by Caroline Cake, CEO of Health Data Research UK. Speakers include Dr Emma Gordon, Director of ADR UK, Hans-Erik Aronson, Programme Director and Angela Coulter, Public Representative.
