Job Summary
Applications are sought for a Clinical MRI Scientist at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, Sutton.
The post is part of the National Cancer Imaging Translational Accelerator (NCITA), which is a Cancer Research UK (CRUK) project that addresses the gaps in translation of imaging biomarkers either as tools for clinical trials or to aid clinical decision making. NCITA brings together seven of the leading cancer imaging centres in the UK through a network of imaging-dedicated cross-institutional infrastructure.
The post-holder will be based at the RMH/ICR ; and will work as part of the NCITA QA/QC Unit. You will provide MR physics support to MRI exemplar studies run by RMH-ICR as part of the NCITA consortium, and work as part of the NCITA QA/QC unit to develop, implement, deploy, document and operate quality systems (quality assurance and quality control) for novel and existing imaging biomarkers.
You will contribute to the development of imaging biomarkers from first-in-man application to achieving multi-site reproducibility assessment, which will require close working with the NCITA Trials and Repository Units.
The post is for a full-time equivalent for a fixed term of 3 years. The starting salary will be within the Trusts Band 7 salary range, commensurate with previous experience.
