Duties and Responsibilities
Applications are invited for a Clinical Research Fellow in Radiology to join a multidisciplinary research group across UCL, University of Cambridge, and Stanford University working on the project: “Computational modeling of tumour growth kinetics to inform early cancer detection”.
The post holder will be based at the Division of Surgery and Interventional Science reporting to Dr Francesco Giganti and the project is funded by Cancer Research UK International Alliance for Cancer Early Detection (ACED).
The project aims to develop mathematical models of tumour growth and spread to inform cancer early detection strategies. Prostate, kidney, ovarian, breast, and lung cancers will be studied.
The work of the Clinical Research Fellow will involve contouring of tumour and measuring tumour volume based on CT and MRI imaging scans taken at several time points, as well as contributing to the statistical analysis, and to writing publications.
This post is available immediately and is funded until 31/08/2022 in the first instance.
Key Requirements
Applications are sought from candidates who have a minimum of 3 years speciality training (or equivalent) in radiology, urology or oncology.
Applicants will have an MBBS qualification and GMC registration.
Experience of project management and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary researchers and healthcare professionals is essential.
