Duties and Responsibilities
The post will work within the Repository Unit, which is a cross-institutional unit of the NCITA project UCL. The successful applicant will be responsible for liaising and developing close partnerships with users of the CRUK XNAT data archive, in order to enable them to get the most out of this unique facility and leading on “opening new sites” by establishing data flow pathways from end user systems to the imaging archive.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role will include:
Travelling to end users at their place of work (e.g. local NHS trusts) to help set up data transfer routes from sites to the CRUK XNAT platform. Developing user training materials, training staff and taking on the day-to-day responsibility for helping end users anonymise patient data and transfer it to the image repository.
The post is funded for 4 years in the first instance.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate must have a degree in computer science, physics, mathematics or other numerate discipline or equivalent experience. Possess the ability to understand and discuss scientific projects and an ability to respond quickly to issues, taking ownership, ensuring others engage effectively. In addition the role requires a willingness to travel to various NHS trusts.
