Last week NCITA held its 2nd live webinar on Friday 26th June 2020 on ‘Optimizing Image Quality’. This was the second session of a series of three live webinars which replaced the NCITA Annual National Conference, cancelled due to the COVID19 pandemic.
The Webinar recording is now available here to watch again or to listen to if you missed the live session.
In the Webinar we hosted three live talks. Dr Lucy Pike from King’s College London and Guy’s & St Thomas’ PET Centre discussed the lessons learnt from the UK PET Core Lab, which was established to coordinate a network of accredited PET centres using commonly agreed standards for delivery of high-quality PET data for multicentre trials. Professor John Waterton from The University of Manchester discussed his experiences in quantitative MRI and the challenges of standardisation of intensive-variable MRI biomarkers. Finally Dr Maite Jauregui-Osoro from Imperial College London discussed the challenges and opportunities for QA/QC in NCITA and the plans to establish an NCITA MRI Core Lab.
